Guys seriously Initial D got a bad rap in its early days partly due to the terrible attempt from Tokyo Pop to strip away everything that made Initial D what it was in favor of a Fast and Furious treatment and a cash in
The Initial release by Tokyo Pop removed all the eurobeats and renamed nearly every character
It wasn't until years later under Funimation that Initial D finally got an ok-ish dub, but even then they never finished it only going to 4th stage.
So lets have a quick listen at that horrible horrible intro song and contrast it with the original
